What is Type 1 crushed concrete?
A highly versatile and cost-effective alternative to MOT1 that’s always in demand. We make our Type 1 Crushed Concrete from reclaimed high-quality concrete and brick hardcore, which we crush after carefully screening to remove dust. Type 1 Crushed Concrete is easily compacted down to a hardwearing surface. We sell a “type 1 graded” as well as a compliant clause 803 product.
What is Type 1 crushed concrete used for?
Ballast is used in landscaping and construction in a various applications including paths, edgings, outdoor facility bases, fence and fence post footings and mixing in to concrete. We supply as raised ballast and a 20mm washed graded ballast.
What is the bulk density of Type 1 crushed concrete?
1.6 tonne per m3 loose or 1.8 compacted.
